This class/certification is for anyone who wants to be certified by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County to manage brush pile burns. The more volunteers with this certification, the more time the site stewards will have to manage other parts of their workdays. This certification will be required for anyone wishing to become workday leaders and site stewards. Even those who already are Workday Leader or Site Stewards should plan on attending to add a real-life perspective and be brought up to speed on forest preserve policies and procedures.
