From Apollo to the Avengers
Explore connections between ancient mythologies and modern-day superheroes during a free workshop about using artwork as a foundation for classroom learning. Learn about tour offerings at the Smart Museum of Art and exchange ideas with teachers who have created interdisciplinary lessons using objects in the Museum’s collection. Neil Elementary School teachers Valerie Hardy and Jennifer Hall will present a lesson plan built around themes of mythology. The shared lesson plan is designed for grades 4–8, but the content can be adapted.
