The summer issue of Yes! magazine is dedicated to what they call a shift from Empire to Earth Community. The lead article by David Korten is a good articulation of what I think we’re up to in our C3 projects. There are a number of resource links and some articles about things happening in other cities. A good overview of peak oil, dollar decline, and climate change issues.

David Korten will be in Chicago Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday Oct. 1st. There will be several opportunities to hear him and you will find details about it at the Earth Charter Chicago website on the Events page. Most of the events are free with a request for a donation to help cover expenses. David is a phenomenal speaker, we have him at a variety of times and locations in order to give people a good chance to see and hear him. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in culture change to try to make it out.
