They helped ground a lot of the points he made (and has been making for a long while) away from his old policy-wonkish image. Seeing him walk through the metal detectors at the airport like any other Joe was a nice touch. The video presentation helped illustrate things hundreds and thousands of words can only melodramatize and underclarify. If we as a nation don't change our ways, the effect on us could be huge. If the us auto makers don't make for more environmentally friendly, more long-term economical cars, then that whole business could be kaput. THat's not so smart. I liked The Inconvient Truth- it told the truth, and added a few laughs, and a few ways for us to appreciate what the smallest amount of change of lifestyle will do.
